Personal Statement

Bruna Babic, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ. She is also Attending General and Endocrine Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.

Dr. Babic is a board certified surgeon who specializes in endocrine, head and neck surgery. She has clinical expertise in treating thyroid cancer and disease, parathyroid disease and neuroendocrine tumors. Dr. Babic has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles on a range of research topics. She has also authored book chapters and has presented her work in the field of endocrine surgery at multiple national meetings.

Dr. Babic earned her master’s degree from Columbia University and completed her medical degree from Albany Medical College. She served her internship and residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and was named chief resident of general surgery during her final year. Dr. Babic served her fellowship at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institute of Health in the endocrine oncology branch.
